We have to free ourselves from the continuous digital connection

Aristoteles one said that «The man is not a beast, but neither it is a god». Considering the human being to perform, you have to interact with your society, your time, and for that the continuous shutdown does not work. It is an option for a novel, a fiction, but not for the real world. We do not notice it, but we live in a society in which the capture, the capitalization of information by economic interests is central. We live in a time when the great novelty is that we all become unconscious and passive because we are incorporating technology and we are becoming large passive consumers of advertising that is multiplied through networks, screens and all forms that acquire the new technologies. In this essay, I will examine some of the reasons why some people use networks and the danger for our society.

Times are changing, we are in the middle of a digital tsunami which has unfortunately led to a new clinical diagnosis. We are all masters of our actions and with the knowledge we have, we can protect ourselves and others from potential harm by taking a sensible and controlled approach to our use of technology.

«The right question here is if we are prepared for this changing?»

First of all, the technology is something new in the human history. To begin with, there was always technology in history, there were advances. The information society which arose a little after the war, from the merger of the network of networks, which is the internet, with satellite communication is perhaps the most chance in history.

Secondly, the companies knew how to read this moment in history. Facebook means «Books of faces», that is, it aims to give the individual that is lost in the crowd, a virtual, imaginary instrument to recompose his contacts, friends, recognition «I like it». The great farce of facebook is that it proposes to us to construct a false, illusory identity, to escape and to take refuge from the psychological anguish caused by loneliness. That need to be built is vitually related to something that Facebook exploit: The need to be visible. We believe that we feel less alone, when the anguish grows.

Thirdly, a cybernetic autism is being created. There is a kind of paradox. The return to physical reality, in the face of the education of young people is going to become something more and more revolutionary, in the etymological sense of the word. Revolution means returring to the beginning of the cycle to refound something. To re-emphasize the importance of knowledge of the physical world of nature. It has lost the human existential thinkness, which is a delicate construction between two beings that are heard, that share values. Friendships are now consumed as something instantaneous, like a breakfast, a soda.

On the other hand, what I postulate is that we reconstruct, as much as possible, that we look for a way to add, not destroy anything. Get out of the trap of building the virtual identity, of the mask that you build as happy and triumphant and that you share with others. From this we must leave, but not necessarily from social networks and the internet as a way of disseminating knowledge, access, opening. The effect of technology is to contribute to the destruction of the individual, unless we decide to constitute ourselves in another way.

In addition, by 2045 computers will have been programmed by computers, that is, the break would be that computers can do without man. The conditions are being created so that, in the long term, man is something obsolete, unnecessary, overcome and rejected by technology itself.

In conclusion, although many people may not like the idea of using digital connections, it may be the only way to communicate as quickly as possible, because of distance and difference of hours. For this reason, digital connections are seen as a necessary platform. My own personal view is that it seems sensible to also find ways of reducing our use of time on social network, and try to reconnect with real people. I have the freedom of switching off or on. And it is a strong power, when the order is that you are all the time connected, consuming passively, not putting filters. That is where all the paradoxes occur: more connection, more anguish, more information, more misinformation. I still believe in the power to enter and exit, we still have that freedom.
